It's still August but that doesn't keep creatives stuck in the heat of the summer! We are completely immersed in everything fall! We are planning and preparing (and buying) so as soon as the calendar or weather allows it we can bring all the fall things to you!
So basically that means we are continuing to move forward & think & plan ahead. We aren't stuck in the reality of 100 degree temperatures, we are dreaming of crisp cool air, bonfires, and pumpkin everything!
As artists, we hope to inspire you to have hope! Hope for better weather, cooler temps, and better days as well. Covid has us facing challenges we never could have imagined. Loss of jobs and income, sickness and death, and hard decisions about family and school. But let us not lose hope!
My hope isn't in anything in this world. While I love my family, they may disappoint me or even turn their back on me. While I love my job, it can be taken away in a heartbeat. And while I love serving women through art, I could lose the ability to create. My hope is in Jesus and him alone. I know that no matter how dark the days get, or how much Covid takes away, God is with me and is for me.
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
2 Corinthians 4:16-18
So yes, my body is going to fail me one day and I have the same troubles of this world as you do, but I can't stay stuck in them & allow myself to waller in them. I choose to put my faith, hope, and trust in God who is preparing a place for me so that one day, the suffering & sickness of this world will be over & I will gain a heavenly home with him! I picture sunny days with a crisp cool breeze. Picnics and pumpkin lattes and art and joy, all because of his grace.
If you don't know Jesus, he knows you and wants you to know him too. He wants to give you salvation, abundant life now, and a home with him someday.
